Architects in Ancient Greece split buildings into three orders which are Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. Doric was the most simple form of design, while Corinthian was the most detailed and complex. The Parthenon for example is falls into the Doric order. The Romanesque however was more similar to the Corinthian order, for there structures were very detailed. A building you can see this on is the Pantheon.
