In the Romanesque style of architecture it can be observed that the arches are rounded (rounded arches), buttresses support the structures, there are mainly barrel vaults, not as much exterior decoration (brick was used as an ornamental device), unfluted shafts, frescoes covered the ceilings (I saw this when studying museology in Florence) the inside was dimly lit. On the other hand, in the Gothic style of architecture it can be observed that arches are pointed (pointed arches), flying buttresses supported the structure, mostly rib/ribbed vaults, extremely ornate exterior, bosses at the intersection of a rib vault. In addition, there is also ethereal interior illumination.
