The two pictures show San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, by Francesco Borromini, and David, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Both of these pieces were done by well known architects during the Baroque period. The grayish white color on these pieces is usually common during the Baroque, and can be found in many other Baroque structures. In Bernini’s statue, it shows David winding up to throw a rock at Goliath rather than just him posing. Similar ornamentation was done on San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane with people performing certain actions. Although the pictures show two different types of art, they share similar characteristics, and showcase the current architectural period nicely.
