On the left we are looking at the San Carlo Alle Quattro Fontane and on the right Berini’s David sculpture. These are both Roman works produced in the Baroque period. Gilded accents, ornamental details, and the presence of motion are notable. This is attributable to Baroque style architecture. It can be observed in the San Carlo Alle Quattro Fontane a sense of movement, especially towards the top of the structure below the balustrade on either side of the oval dome. Similarly, David is captured in swift motion, there is incredible detail to his body as well as the additional armor around his feet.
