Both works are from the Baroque period and are highly decorative and elaborate. The left is San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane by Borromini, it uses a lot of oval features to create directions and motions. Although it was a small building in a narrow street, its undulating façade gives it a grandeur sense in a closer view. The right one is David by Bernini. The sculpture captures the dynamic motion of David throwing a stone. This was different than the sculptures of the stilled poses before and it shows that motion was an important element in the Baroque period.
