Both David by Bernini and San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane by Borromini are representations of Art and Architecture that was created in the Baroque period. San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane is a a beautifully decorated and detailed building incorporating statues, curves domes, and an innovative play on classical detailing. Even though the building was built on a small asymmetrical plot the facade on the outside of the church, still has an extravagant front, while leaving the sides more ornate and simple. David, a life size marble statue, has very life like qualities such as bodily movement and emotion. The statue shows david in the middle of fighting and because of his life like appearances it makes the viewer more connected to the statue. All of these things are represented in the baroque period.
