I will take the side of Didascalo’s argument, because I agree that architects should have the freedom to ornament their structures in whatever way they desire. Unlike Protopiro, I think that ornamentation is an important part of architecture, and it differentiates buildings from one another. There should not be a set rules of how architecture should be. In my opinion, architecture is a form or art, and artists/architects should be able to explore new and wild styles. That is the only way architecture can advance and evolve. Architecture would not be nearly as interesting without all the differing styles and ornamentation.
