Between Didascalo and Protopiro, I would side with Didascalo. I agree with some of Protopiro’s points on how there is beauty in simplicity and order, but I disagree with his claim that architects rely too heavily on ornamentation. Didascalo thought that there shouldn’t be a set of rules to follow in architecture. I agree with this because although the main purpose of architecture is to shelter, it is still considered art, and an artist should be able to create however they wish.
