When looking at comparisons between the Palais Garnier and the Roman Pantheon you can see both similarities and also differences. The columns that can be seen in the Palais embody the typical composite capitals that were seen in earlier architecture, like the pantheon. The Beaux arts style is very mis matched, with not one single style being the big one with many different styles being patched together. This is strikingly different to a work like the Pantheon, and other typical works that focus significantly more on repetition and balance.
