Identify one of Le Corbusier’s ‘Points’ that appeals most to you and describe why this point carries personal appeal.
I admire Le Corbusier’s point of the Ribbon Window. When referencing Modern architecture, any structure that has the ribbon window looks Modern in my opinion. It’s a feature that can truly transform the façade and character. To me, I think it relates back to some of Sant’ Elia’s renderings from Italian Futurism where architecture looks like machinery. When I imagine a building that looks like a machine, I envision a string of surrounding windows as if the building is an airport control tower. Ribbon windows also allow a lot of light to enter from all sides. This notion also overlaps with some late Gothic work with high, vertical apertures making the walls seem non-existent.
