The one point from Le Corbusier’s Five Points of Architecture that stood out to me were the Ribbon Windows. I believe natural lighting is essential to the interior spaces. It brings a different essence compared to artificial lighting. Especially the evenness of the horizontal windows provides a characteristic that resonates with the Modernist style. The ribbon windows isolate the structure into a more distinguished block like shape. I also think it was a clever way for Le Corbusier to incorporate nature into architecture.
