The most important point made by Vitruvius’ Triad is stability, followed by utility, then beauty. Though these are complementary, stability is the foundation of the three points; Without it, the others wouldn’t be viable. Utility and beauty are not essential components, however they add value to the building. Though you could build a structure that does not have a function, it wouldn’t be very useful. Hence, finding a utility to a building is crucial. I believe beauty comes in last, since it is unessential but is what makes a building exquisite; it is also often reflective of the structure’s functionality.
