Larger stylistic changes are indicated by the changing designs from Ancient Greece to the Romanesque capitals. The use of classical orders exemplifies this. When looking at the Parthenon (Ancient Greece) versus the Pantheon (Roman), two temples created as a place to worship their respective Gods we see that there is a shift in detailing. The key differences lie within the process and design. We are able to observe the Parthenon as a Doric temple with support from Ionic columns, whereas the Pantheon utilized more ornate Corinthian columns. This indicates more of a focus on beauty and detail in the Romanesque capital.
