Week 3 Response

The Gothic style of architecture has a lot more verticality in the design of the buildings. It tends to have thin and tall buildings and features. The Romanesque also tends to follow the design of the Latin cross with their churches while the Gothic style churches tend to stray away from the design. The buttresses of the Romanesque were very basic while the Gothic style had flying buttresses and much larger buttresses in general.
