Although Romanesque and Gothic style share many similarities, like Latin cross cathedral, there are still some variations: while in Romanesque architecture, groin ,semi-circle arch, buttress and wall-based elements are presented, offering a sense of massiveness and strength, those subject transformed into much thinner and column-based, including ribbed vault, ogival, and flying buttress, emphasizing the verticality.
