The image portrayed above is known as The School of Athens and is by Raphael at the Vatican. It was painted during the Renaissance period and resembles a great deal of European culture with images of Plato and Aristotle who represent the return from renaissance to classicism. Another aspect I noticed was the use of arrhythmia which shows how truly beautiful the painting is and shows how there is balance on both sides. With the renaissance period, you notice there is a common theme of human reason and humanism.
