These two works are prime examples from the Baroque period. The first is Bernini’s David and the second is San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane by Borromini. Bernini and Borromini were the two most famous examples of creators during the baroque period. Bernini was more well known for sculptures, which is shown in his work “David”. This work is important because it emphasizes the use of movement and compositions composed of swirls. The second is a building by Borromini which is one of the most famous because of the use of ovals in all elements of planning.
