Both the Chiesa di San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane by Brorromini and Bernini’s David are works that embody the characteristics of baroque architecture. The oval on the underside of the dome and the very decorative and grandeur nature of the coffering served as one of the quintessential identifications of the baroque architecture, and the usage of sub-space in the building layout was also very baroque esque. The sculpture on the right was a break from tradition as Bernini’s David is dynamic and dramatic unlike the mostly still artwork of the past.
