Bernini’s David and Borromini’s San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane from Baroque period. Both are successful in perception-making and adding sense of movement. The statue depicts the David is twisting his waist in preparation to cast, which also introduces views standing in front to see multiple planes of the statue. The architecture was build in a tight street space, which encouraged close observation for its unique perspective with the use of undulation and oval to create movement. Additionally, both works seem to be influenced from Renaissance and incorporate proportion and mathematical calculation to be made visually more appealing.
