On the left, Borromini’s San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, and on the right Bernini’s David, are both examples of Baroque form. They are representative of the Baroque by using the idea of motion. In the San Carlo, the facade has a wave in it, where as In Bernini’s David, there is motion of him in a position throwing a stone. David’s clothing also help with the idea of motion. San Carlo uses ovals which is a very important design characteristic of the Baroque period.
