I side with Didascalo, who has the views of Piranesi. I believe that the basis of architecture should pay homage to Ancient Greek and Rome; however the addition of ornamentation allows architects to be creative while still sticking to these basic principles. If all buildings were constructed the same way there would be no unique and beautiful architectural works. Good architecture sticks to basic principles, like the comparison to the hut that inspired the first buildings, however distinguishes itself from this hut with the use of design and ornamentation. This is how the architect differs from the bricklayer.
