In the reading, Protopiro was in favor of the Greek austere style. On the other hand, Didascalo, the voice of Piranesi, sided with a more Roman foundation. Essentially, Didascalo criticized the lack of artistic creativity since the Greeks centered everything around the Vitruvian principles. I agree with the side taken by Didascalo (Piranesi) because they argued about the mindfulness of every individual part, and how it contributes to the overall harmony. He explained if the artistic choices are done with the rest of the architecture in mind, the building will not be overwhelmed and instead have its own unique character.
