Based on the reading assigned to us, I think I side with Didascolo. As a traditionalist, Protopiro rejects architecture that stray always from traditional Greek architecture. I believe that innovation and trying something new are crucial to advancing the field of architecture. Without people like Protopiro, many of the periods such as Gothic and Baroque would not have existed. Focusing only on Ancient Greek or Roman style of architecture would result in monotonous buildings.
