I side with Didascalo, who valued Piranesi’s belief. I agree with Didascalo’s opinion that ornamentation makes a building unique, and I am often attracted by the complex ornaments of the buildings. Although the Antiquity principles ensure stability and maintain the austere, there shouldn’t be rules that limit architects’ innovations and creativities. Good architecture should not just sick on the traditional ideas, it should also reflect the architect’s personality and ideas toward it and highlights the roles of that building. Therefore, the ornamentation on buildings brings pleasure to people and shouldn’t be ignored.
