I would have to side with Didascolo over Protopiro. While I understand Protopiro’s view on staying with the Greek style of architecture that is austere rather than geared towards ornamentation and built for stability which is all a building really needs. Taking away the personal touch an architect puts in his work really takes the fun and beauty out of architecture. In my opinion the best part about architecture is being able to look at someone’s work and be able to distinguish whose work it is from their unique style. This is taken out of the picture if everything is built the same without any ornamentation.
