I would choose to side with Didascalo. Although he believed in a more ornamented style, he acknowledged there were facets to architecture. Whereas, Protopiro suggests that we should limit what architects are able to do in favor of a less ornamented more regimented and simplistic style, restricting creativity. I do not think we as people should be able to restrict art. Ornamentation adds a level of personality to architecture. For example, we still look at the Medici family crest today. That being said, too much ornamentation, can lead to something maybe not as appealing. However, I think we must leave this decision up to the architect.
