Labrouste’s Bibliothèque Nationale holds much architectural significance. The room looks like a train station, where it has been influenced. Columns line the center of the main room, with ionic orders. Above these volutes, we can see falsework through the arches. These arches out of cast iron support the roof and have intricate details carved along their semicircular shape. At the base of these columns, we see faces ornamented on the stone. Remodeled to the modern-day, the library has been lightened up and painted white. Floors extend upwards to accommodate the large selection.
