I will be comparing the Palais Garnier and the Pantheon. The Palais Garnier is from the Beaux-Arts period and shares a similar dome as in the Pantheon. They both incorporate symmetry and arcuation in the buildings. While they have similarities, they also have some differences. The Palais Garnier includes heavy ornamentation, with heavy uses of gold, and festoons. The Pantheon is more heavily classical with it being more modest. They both included classical columns with composite capitals. The Palais Garnier has a base of Classical characteristics but is heavily Beaux-Arts.
