The Palais Garnier could be considered one of the most important Beaux-Arts style building. The Beaux-Arts is a neoclassical movement and it is influenced by ancient Greece and Roman antiquity. The Palais Garnier is more of a conservative style and decoration plays a salient part, especially in the ornamentation. To correlate this to the classics, there is use of ionic columns and an open work center.
