Palais Granier is the idealistic building of the Beaux-Arts style as it exemplifies many of the characteristics of the style. It is an Opera house located in Paris. Palais Garnier is symmetric with arcuation and has a very dominating facade. The theme of Palais Garnier is called “oeil-de-boeuf”, which is known as the bullseye. When comparing this to the Pantheon, they are similar as they both are very symmetrical, Pantheon following the octastyle with a center point in its columns. The Palais Granier showcased very complex capitals. However, Pantheon was much more basic and its columns followed the Doric order. Additionally, Palais Granier has much more modern ornamentation throughout, which can be seen through its iron framework.
