The Palais Garnier is in the style of Beaux-Arts, which incorporates elements from antiquity.   Both the Palais Garnier and the Parthenon incorporate the use of symmetry and have corinthian capitals. Corinthian capitals convey beauty, which is fitting for an opera house and the Parthenon. Unlike the Parthenon, the Palais Ganier uses a lot of sculptural and ornamental elements like festoons and cartouches. The Parthenon relied more on carvings and friezes than sculptures, although there were some.
