Palais Garnier is the epitome of the Beaux Arts style. It is extremely grand with heavy ornamentation on the facade and in the interior. It contains oeil-de-boeufs which are circular windows above another large window or doorway. These were made popular during the Baroque period but used heavily in the Beaux Arts style. Palace Garnier is similar to a piece in the Baroque period called Catherine Palace. This work followed a similar style as Palace Garnier due to it being grand and ornamented as well. Additionally, it contained many gilded features in the same manner that Garnier had touches of gilding inside and outside.
