The Palais Garnier is a prime example of the Beaux Arts style. Located in Pairs, this opera has buttresses, oil-de-bouf windows, ornate wall carvings, vaulted ceilings, and incorporates the use of stone; as well as embodying many neoclassical elements. Compared to architecture in Ancient Rome, the Pantheon is much less ornamented and detailed. In comparison with each other, they both incorporate the idea of symmetry, and both stand out for their respective periods.
