One of Le Corbusier’s ‘Points’ that appeals most to me would be his fifth point of roof gardens. I am a big supporter of nature and think we as humans have been destroying it immensely since the Industrial Revolution, especially in cities. This idea of roof gardens on top of buildings is interesting as it reinforces the idea of nature into the city (Garden City Movement). It helps with air pollution, could allow you to grow food, and provides insulation for flat concrete roofs. Overall, there really does not seem to be a downside of having a roof garden, and if someone could find any, the benefits definitely outweigh the disadvantages.
