The Roof Garden is the most appealing point to me because I live in New York City and can appreciate the incorporation of nature into the concrete jungle. Living in Manhattan can be overwhelming at some points in time, so having a place to escape other than Central Park is important. Many of the modern-day rooftops in Manhattan incorporate greenery or some other aspect of nature simply as a change of scenery. Le Corbusier’s 5 points were supposed to respond to culture and lifestyles. With that being said, rooftops in city’s such as New York have become part of the lifestyle/culture that many residents would directly correlate to life in the city.
